There is only one valid reason for this offshore fund. To have money to fight lawyers when all Canadian money has been spent or siezed. They can then go bankrupt and fully escape all problems(except jail) In addition, after they go bankrupt and the lawyers know there is no money to collect, and just money to oppose the lawsuits they will chase easier prey(brokers and their insurers) Bill PS, I am sure there are other offshore monies no-one knows about.
