Brian, I read this and many threads daily. Your contributions to this thread are noteworthy. I can count on you finding the dozens of relevant article almost daily.

I find that current articles provide either bad news or the “it can’t get much worst”.

YTD I am up over 50% return primarily due to the stock prices jump from Jan 01. With 60% in cash I will wait for a good sign before I think we are in the recovery.

Using Gottried’s charts and the 97/98/99 cycle as an indicator for a 2000/2001/2002 recovery, I see July or September to be a bottom. Or maybe not.

I do not agree with the ex-Dilbert's idea that capacity buys would lead the way instead of technology and size. Size of 300mm is capacity over 200mm. I beleave they could buy technoligy / size and get the capacity.
