Hi, tc. Weirdly, i'm having another problem associated with defrag.

I run ScanDisk (after using EndItAll), and it goes fast and there are no errors found.

Then I defrag, and it goes fast and uneventfully, too.

Then I try to Shut Down the computer. But although the screen turns off (though not completely; it seems to sort of have a grey glow), the tower is still on.

I let it sit for a while (this has happened three times now) to see if it's just taking a while, but it stays like that until I turn the tower off by holding my finger on the button for several seconds. (A quick push doesn't do anything.)

Then, when I turn the computer on again, it shows the message "Improper shutdown detected. Checking Disks for errors."

I don't know why it won't turn off normally after a defrag, and I don't know why the shutdown is improper.

Do you or mr. mark or anyone have any thoughts about this?

Maybe there is a God of Defragging and he doesn't like me.
