** I have no idea what the song verse is
all I know is one of my most favorite
scenes in Northern Exposure ended with
the town's existentialist Radio DJ
assembling this incredible "light sculpture"
at the center of town ...

And before flipping
the switch that lit up evryone's eyes who
had gathered there with wonder in the dead
of winter he read from Dylan Thomas' ....
and when he flipped the switch , Enya's Ebudae
played and the wildest collection of lights
lit up...and everyone smiled like it was the first
day of creation...they all knew the message there.

~Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night ~

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

( Dylan could have probably gone a little "lighter"
on the alcohol, and maybe a little more with the
touch of the mushrooms... )

* Northern Exposure sure had some
really rare moments...people can be magic
when they are close together, free, and don't
always feel they have to be raging against the
" dying of the light '....just see it
in each other's
eyes

lights that shine once , shine forever.
