I have WinME. And as long as i know this isn't a problem that needs solving, the little wait doesn't bother me, either. There is a little sound that the computer emits with a manual shutdown that it doesn't with the Start... Shut down, method. My old computer did that (it emitted a sound like a sudden electrical puff) on all shutdowns, but the fact that this one is nommally silent makes it sound like a protest. Why would a TSR program not close properly when I turn the computer off manually after the defrag but close properly the rest of the time? (If that's the problem...) I have Optimum Online, a cable connection. Do others with a cable connection turn their computers off at night, or leave it on all the time? Maybe I should just leave it on?
