VideoServer Appoints Arnold Englander Vice President, Marketing

BURLINGTON, Mass., June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- VideoServer, Inc. (Nasdaq:VSVR), the leader in networked
conferencing, today announced the addition of Arnold Englander as vice president, marketing. Mr. Englander will lead
all global corporate and product marketing initiatives designed to leverage the company's leadership position in
ISDN-based multipoint conferencing and fuel the growth of VideoServer's Internet-based conferencing business.

``We are very excited to add Arnold to the VideoServer team,'' stated Robert Castle, President and CEO,
VideoServer. ``Arnold's extensive experience in the conferencing industry, combined with his outstanding strategic
marketing skills, make him the ideal person to spearhead our marketing efforts. He will drive our continued introduction
of technologies and products that lead our industry, including the extension of conferencing to LANs, WANs, the
Internet and emerging networks.''

Englander joins VideoServer from AT&T, where he launched the program that led to the first H.320 chip set and
AT&T Microelectronics' Visual Solutions business. The end result was a 50% reduction in the cost and a marked
improvement in the quality of videoconferencing plug-in boards. In addition to seven years on the product side at
AT&T, Englander spent two years on the services side leading the development, deployment and launch of the world's
most comprehensive voice mail services for AT&T's consumer market. In addition to his extensive experience at
AT&T, Englander has held numerous positions in the conferencing industry.

``While at AT&T I saw a turning point in videoconferencing, and it was about endpoints then. Today, the pivotal area is
the intelligence in the network,'' said Englander. ``We've entered another turning point in the industry with H.323. It is
not just a suite of standards; it's an emerging market. VideoServer is at the forefront of this dynamic industry and I'm
excited to be joining the industry leader as we tackle the next wave in videoconferencing.''
