Alan,

Remember the discussion here about the effect of decimalization upon volatility? If you plot the 60-day historical volatility of just about any Nasdaq stock, you'll see a sudden dropoff beginning in early April with a gradual decline into late May. In most cases, historical volatility has dropped between 25-35%. For example, ALTR had a 60-day HV of approximately .061 in early March, now at .046. CIEN from .084 to .065, CSCO from .060 to .047, AMAT from .058 to .043, etc.
