Interesting points. Not the ones we're talking about right now, but an interesting change of subject, talking about scoring for growth and !~liberals~! and bipartisanship and all. The subject was this: <<<Here's what they did: they made the tax bill fit within the budget resolution by assuming that the whole tax cut will expire at the end of 2010. That is, they simply waved their hands and made all the revenue that will actually be lost in the last year of the 10-year period — hundreds of billions of dollars — disappear from the accounting. Need I point out that absolutely nobody who supports this tax bill thinks of it as a temporary measure, to be canceled at the end of nine years?>>> Cyberken, what happened to year ten? *What happens in year nine* that makes year ten simply disappear from the calcs?*, Cyberken? It's spooky, dude! -- it's (scary music) ... gone!* There used to be a character on Saturday Night Live, Church Lady, who would say at appropriate times, "How con-veeeeeen-ient!"
