Absolutely, forget politics and use the bully-pulpit to improve education. A President can do a lot to create an environment around which change is possible.

I would locate the best practices in school districts in the country and showcast to the nation what they're doing right. And I would do it over and over until everyone get the message that we're serious about improving our school system.

Children are being sacrificed daily to the liberal union alter of stagnation.

Second, I would keep pushing the message of partial privatization of social security. It might be a few months before the task force is complete with it's recommendations. But, I would keep the issue alive in the public debate arena until more and more Americans become enrolled in the process of changing the structure of the system.

Reforming social security could be his greatest achievement if done well. And create a sea-change of generational wealth building in America for centuries to come.

By the way, he will be there for two terms. So I would get used to it.
