I have one, but it probably won't be very popular. If Lucent is so weak that it needs to merge with Alcatel, if the result of the merger is bad for Qualcomm, and if Ercisson has dropped the ball after buying the infrastructure division, then one heck of a lot of blame needs to go to Qualcomm for partnering with and selling critical assets to companies that don't properly advance the cause. When Qualcomm is selling critical assets to foreign companies (Ericsson and Kyocera), I find it really, really difficult to blame our policians for anything that might go wrong vis-a-vis a Lucent/Alcatel merger.
