JDN, while the rest of "the rich" (see 39.6% tax bracket) were probably slacking off today (probably in the South of France, or Aspen), I was busy replacing older fiberglass insulation in my attic with R-30.

Despite the assertions on this thread that anyone paying more than their fair share can afford to do it, I could not afford to hire someone else (see the "non-rich") to do this job best-left to professionals for me due in part to the high taxes I pay.

I have to wonder if that "non-rich" person could've used the money I would've paid him, to do the work, more effectively than the government can in doling out my taxes to him.
