If FT ever produces cobalt it will be long after I'm humming with the angels. Voisey's Bay will fill whatever market shortages, if any occur, for a long time into the future. The market for cobalt is very small and you can't rely on the quoted market spot prices as they may be too high, at US$ 11/lb, to give rise to long term contracts. If FT is going to be a mine it will require considerable infrastructure as the deposit would be a sulfide producer. It must contain lots of gold not cobalt or any other small market metal for it to carry the capex, in my view.
