It would be nice yes...once a year, to remember the veterans of war...and the families...

not enough for what was taken from them..

Ever been to a Pow wow??/There the Veterans recieve our Honor at every grand entry, every gathering...

Ask any veteran who has attended, who truely honors their deeds...

In example of another honor.....
The thunder rolled through the Tuscaloosa, Ala., VA Medical Center Tuesday as
85 motorcyclists traveling cross-country to join the annual Memorial Day
weekend Rolling Thunder rally in Washington, D.C., spent the night as guests of
VA. This is the second year the bikers have made the stop in Tuscaloosa while
traveling one of two Rolling Thunder cross-country routes to Washington. VA
medical center staff greeted the caravan on the outskirts of the city and
arranged a police escort to the medical center where they received a warm
welcome from employees and veterans lining the entrance drive and waving
American flags along the center's Avenue of Flags. A quadriplegic nursing home
resident and avid Harley-Davidson lover was lifted from his wheelchair by the
bikers onto a Harley Davidson motorcycle. He said it was one of the thrills of
a lifetime. This year's Rolling Thunder rally will bring thousands of
motorcycle riders to Washington, D.C., on an annual Memorial Day weekend
pilgrimage to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in memory of those veterans who
died in that war and those still unaccounted for. Secretary of Veterans
Affairs Principi will ride in Sunday's Rolling Thunder procession around the
Washington Mall to the memorial. And don't forget the National Moment of
Remembrance at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, May 28. Wherever you are,
stop for a minute of silent reflection in tribute to those veterans who gave
their lives to protect and preserve the freedoms Americans enjoy today.
