hi Bwe. There are much more powerful forces than charts at work to knock down dyn, duk, rei and the whole gang. they are being exhaustively investigated. there are virtually no business people that can stand up to that. cpn is in a different class, really creative - among other things, the world leader in geothermal energy. but the market sees them as part of the same group: generators. as my father used to say, when they raid the whorehouse they take everybody including the piano player. friday's action shows it. they took cpn down with the rest. it doesn't make sense that power quintuples in price when it hits the california border. when the investigators flush out how they did it, they'll all have to cough up some dough. the biggest beneficiary of that will be pcg. call it what you will: regression to the mean, law of averages - hey, justice. the gougers'll be gouged and the gouged will get that dough. not that whole $11 billion, but $2-3-4 billion. when it hits the headlines the market will over-adjust to THAT. my guess, the generators are then gonna drop 20%. and, for a variety of reasons pcg will zoom 50%. that's when i'll get back into cpn. no promises. i said my guess. and i'm no expert. just another guy.
