Frankly, I don't know anything about the two other scams... As for L&H, four years ago, I was flabbergasted like everybody. I mean, I thought, goddammit the Flemings pulled it off! Of course, I was aware of the underlying political lobbying (Flemish Minister-President L. Van den Brande travelling to NYC to get ATT on board, etc.) I got suspicious about 2 years ago when I noticed that all the company's (revenue) growth came from acquisitions --not from its core voice technology. So, although I could see the synergy between a translating business (Mendes), a hackneyed technology such as Dictaphone's, etc. I noticed their low "high-tech" grade however.... But then, when computer moguls Bill Gates and Andy Grove signed on for a combined $100 million stake in L&H it just dispelled my last doubts --I mean who could be smarter than BOTH GATES AND GROVE in picking out valuable software investments???
