Killing CDMA is tougher than cornering the silver market and look what happened to the Hunt brothers when they tried doing that.

There are simply too many licensees and too much interest in too big a market to kill it off by buying it up and shutting it down [even if such a mad strategy made sense somehow].

It would only take a few suppliers to stay in business and they would enjoy a more restricted market. Alcatel isn't so stupid as to try to shut down CDMA by buying Lucent.

I'm with you. I think Alcatel wants what they are buying.
