If we're buying stuff from them, then maybe they won't feel compelled to sell arms to more unstable mid-east regimes. The Russians take great pride in their arms industry, as we do with ours. It's a source of pride, and they must sell a certain quantify of them each year to keep the production lines open.

And some of the weapons systems are pretty good.

After all, they'd better be good since they were developed with technology stolen from the US... <VBG>
