I am a good parent. That's why I don't feed my kids the kind of garbage that would cause them turn out like you. A God hating moralist, who thinks he's some great philosophical thinker, when in reality he's a fool.
I teach my kids that right and wrong exist because they are a reflection of God's character. Not because they had a vote or because it seems a convenient way to get along. I teach them to fear and reverence this Holy God who must punish sin, but who has also demonstrated His love for us by providing a way of salvation from sin by sending His own Son to die in our place. I teach them that God is just and that he doesn't send anyone to Hell who doesn't deserve to go there. I teach them that everyone knows what is right and wrong because God put that knowledge into our hearts, but that no one is good enough on their own, to meet God's perfect standard. I show them how people like you would just as soon spit in God's face as receive His freely offered forgiveness, and that you are choosing to go to hell all by yourself. I teach them to that they should be saddened by that, not to take glee in it.
I teach my kids to think for themselves, but I also point out to them that while they are free to make their own choices they are not free to determine their own consequences. I teach them that Logic, like Morality, is true because it is a reflection of the nature and character of God Himself. But I also teach them that sin has affected even our thought processes, and therefore we must check our conclusions against something that has not been corrupted. God's Word, the Bible.
I don't know if you have kids, but I pity them if you do. You are on a fast train to a Godless eternity solon, and the train is picking up speed. I will continue to pray for you however, because God takes great delight in saving scoundrels just like you. |
