H-E-B Selects AES NewEnergy as Retail Electricity Provider for Texas Electric Choice Pilot Program

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 2001--H-E-B, one of Texas' leading retail companies, has become one of the first major Texas customers to leave electric utility service in the state's Electric Choice Pilot Program by signing a contract with AES NewEnergy, America's leading retail electricity provider. AES NewEnergy will serve H-E-B stores throughout the Reliant, TXU and CP&L utility service areas.
