This could be the driving force behind XING runnup. >>Guangdong province of China opened its CDMA network this Monday. It can accomodate 1.8 million users and will expand into neighboring provinces. Qiao Xing is located in Huizhou of Guangdong Province<< The rumor in 99' was XING to be awarded authority to market QCOM's CDMA technology/cell phones exclusively in the Guandong province which has 100's of millions of potential users. Additionally, XING was to partner with a manufacturer the phones.
