1st Update on DEAD CAT PORTFOLIO...

Hello to all on this thread,

I have spent some time going through the list of block trades which Essam posted on this thread yesterday. Basically, I looked at most of the stocks which crossed at less than $4.00 yesterday (some as low as .01). That gave me a list of around 50 stocks. I am now working on refining that list so that we know which ones are the real DEAD CATS. I am checking their charts, reading press releases, etc... After the DEAD CATS have been properly identified, I will post the list for all so any interested persons can follow along. For those who are more than casually interested in this project, I am preparing a sort of "prospectus" of very ugly DEAD CATS... a sort of indepth analysis of how they came to be rated as DEAD CATS, etc... At this point, all I can report is that many of yesterday's trades have "truly ugly and horrifying" stories... certainly worthy of classification in the DEAD CAT PORTFOLIO!!! (-:

If anyone wishes to contribute any further candidates, please do so by the end of today... I will refine the list and work on the "prospectus" over the weekend. If all goes according to plan, I will have a report ready for Monday. At that time, perhaps I will start a new thread to discuss the project... or else maybe report to all interested persons by e-mail... Anyhow, we'll worry about all of the later... In the meantime... Keep your "picks" coming!!!

Regards to all,
Bev
