Last week a comment or two was made that moral standards could not be agreed upon especially if they came from a religious reference, because the religious people would always try to push their stuff and the non-religious people would always have a problem with that. I don't agree. I think there are Moral rights and wrongs out there and that religious doctrine is a good source of the true rights and wrongs. You may think these doctrines have been "invented" by tribes or handed down by the "All Knowing God." I offered to list some moral "rights and wrongs" that come from religious doctrine and that would not compromise people who were not religious but wanted to claim a look at a standard of morality that would apply to all.
