Max, I'm re-thinking the no-visibility thing lately. With the rash of class-action shareholder lawsuits, many companies are finding it better to say nothing than say something that they believe to be accurate, but exposes them to lawsuits later. I believe that unless class action shareholder lawsuits are addressed or Regulation FD is changed, we will see the no-visibility thing as the norm rather than the exception in the tech world. I agree the news later on could be bad, but these companies are holding out thin hope that things will turn around, so they prefer to not release bad information because there is maybe a 5% chance that things may turn out better than they expected. That's my take on things. I agree with you about SUNW's business. Intel's Itanium is taking a run at their Sparc chips, and within a couple of years they could be vulnerable there. The low-cost servers running Linux are also giving them a run for their money. Finally, the hosting people are hurting, and that was SUN's bread and butter. GENU and EXDS may not survive in their present form, but as smaller entities in larger companies.
