PCCW in talks with China telecom firm to provide information services 2001-05-30 Terms and Conditions Pacific Century CyberWorks Ltd executive chairman Richard Li said the company is in talks with one of three major telecom companies in China to provide information services. In a Hong Kong Economic Times report, Li declined to comment on whether the possible partner is China Mobile (Hong Kong) or China Unicom, but said PCCW will announce the deal shortly. Li said PCCW will map out a blueprint for its development in the China market after China enters the World Trade Organisation. Li said the company will have to closely watch market conditions after China's entry into the WTO when preparing its China investment plan.
