CSFB Won't Give Mid-year Raises To Top Tier - NYT

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Credit Suisse First Boston (Z.CSF) told 5,400
executives in the investment banking operations they wouldn't be receiving
midyear raises, the New York Times reports in its Wednesday edition.
A memorandum employees received from Allen D. Wheat, the firm's chief
executive, said "in light of market conditions, there will be no 2001
midyear salary increases for existing vice presidents, directors and
managing directors," the Times said.
The Times reported lower-ranking professionals would have their annual
reviews and would receive raises.
