By now, everyone knows Jim Jeffords, Senator from Vermont has had one of the most liberal voting records in the Senate, notwithstanding running and being elected as a Republican. But few may remember that Jeffords supported the socialist Hillary Healthcare and also voted against impeachment of Hill’s former boy, Bill. After 26 years in Republican politics, voting most often with the left, all of a sudden, Jeffords wants to be an independent. I guess we are back to the meaning of the word is, only this time the word is independent and if there is one thing I learned in the last decade, when a democRat says one thing, they mean the exact, one hundred eighty degree shift difference. Up is down, war is peace, love is hate and independence is slavery. Any guesses who’s cracking the whip?
I also found it interesting, despite comments to the contrary, Hillary is certainly not taking any backseat as a junior senator. She is supporting the nanny statist fellow democRat senator from New Jersey Corzine bill that would make a federal crime using a cell phone while driving in the privacy of one’s own car. Gee, do I spot a trend here?
Rumor also has it that Jeffords want to run for governor in Vermont and I wonder if that election will also be stolen as democRats are wont to do when they know they cannot win at the polls. As far back as during Ronald Reagan’s terms, Jeffords was threatening to bolt the Republican party, so this last move is surely no surprise nor is it a reflection on the presidency of W, no matter how the media spins this and tries to place blame. I wonder if a Republican senator tried to blackmail his way into tantrum history, would the media be so complacent and quick to blame the democrats?
I also wonder what made Jeffords jump now? Was it an alliance of power, Hillary, Daschle et al? Was it an FBI file with some heavy-duty blackmail making the senator cross the road? It’s pretty much common knowledge to anyone with a brain that the democRats don’t give a fig for their so-called constituents, no matter how much they claim to care, for all they have done is destroy the very people they claimed to want to ‘help’. We know that the dems will stop at nothing to wound Bush, even if the populace suffers. We know they will stop at nothing for Bill run by Hill showed us all their tactics of smear and destroy any who stand in their way.
Jeffords has been voting with the democRats for so long, one can only wonder why anyone in Vermont would think he could be a Republican anyway. But, why now? Why change party affiliation when it never changed any liberal ways and votes? Has Jeffords finally been bought? Or has he been scared across the aisle by the New York’s junior senator and her minions?
Has Jeffords been just loitering on the street corner of politics under the big red light just waiting for the right price? Or is something more sinister at work behind the scenes?
I watched his announcement and was struck by how uncomfortable Jeffords appeared, misspeaking, constantly licking his lips, (dry mouth) and the lack of sincerity and forced emoting was obvious. In a statement that sounded like he was reading it for the first time, he stumbled over names, and made the word befriend into de-friend, said ‘paid’ in place of made… this was not a man stolidly secure in his decision.
As he finished his prepared speech, he left no room for the crowd to react and when they came in a half a beat later with their cheers and whoops and ‘way to go Jims’, Jeffords actually said “Sorry for that” and I took this to mean, not allowing them the prearranged time to cheer. Very strange. Indeed, one of the oddest moments in political speaking.
Of course, the democRat spinners spoke immediately afterwards of how sincere his remarks were and that is bullsh** plain and simple. As if we, the watcher, the witnesses, cannot even look at simple body language without being told what we are seeing. The old, ‘who’re ya gonna believe, me or your own eyes?’ Crapolitics Hillary’s handlers have been dishing out forever… Well, this dame ain’t buying it. I know an uncomfortable person when I see one and Jeffords has something on his mind more than what he said.
It looks to be an interesting senate and I have no doubt Hillary is working furiously behind the scenes and running all the democRat girlie-men, just as she ran her pig of a husband all these years. I believe there are more FBI files than just GOPers in the woman’s closet. Watch out, America, there’s a plague-carrying rat on the loose and who knows if there’s a trap big enough to catch her. |
