That's a good list, I would say - mainly acceptable to religious and secular. As with Karen, though, I'm unsure about the 'forgiveness' part; not because I disagree with the aim, but IMO it's too close to telling someone how they should think, without any corresponding gain.
One other point which I think has been raised before... an absolute requirement for truth may not be ideal. Should you tell a depressed wife that her husband hates her, or their insecure child that its parents are likely to be divorcing - even if you 'know' it to be the truth? I'd prefer to see it phrased more as 'Tell no harmful lie.' or similar...

I can't think how that could be improved, if obeyed. The insane, or devotedly criminal, will not follow laws or precepts however crafted anyway. |
