When you see (already are) HP, IBM, Dell, Compaq, NEC, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Bull, SGI, etc. all rolling out the same kind of products on Windows XP (64), Unix flavors and Linux, what chance is Sun going to have on any platform?<
Of these, Compaq will definitely be onboard for the launch Sledgehammer, and there is a high probability of Bull, Fujitsu, and IBM also being onboard within one quarter of launch.
Of course, this all assumes that Sledgehammer does not go the way of Mustang. |
