I don't think I suggested the web is dead, just that its useage (and the projected need for massive expansion of bandwidth) isn't growing at the astronomical rates projected by many analysts.

My point was and is that an inordinate percentage of the growth of web useage was related to the stock market. As Joe FivePack becomes less inclined to check up on every aspect of his stocks five times per day (mainly because they have become "long term investments"), so too can net useage growth be expected to taper off. Manhy folks on this thread use the web for research, but the majority of the public does not. The two big items are stocks and porn..... and both seem to be losing some of their steam. (g)

Noticed any "dead" web sites lately? (g)
