Hadn't heard about McCain. Interesting. Although I support him on campaign finance (even his watery version), I don't think that he represents my viewpoints well enough to get my vote in '04. But I don't know enough to say much more than that.

I think you read more into my comments than intended. My insinuation was that large campaign donations tend to taint the process, as the person receiving the donation feels "beholden" to the donator. Legislation and policy is influenced by money, despite what many would have us believe.

That being said, I have already rambled here about my belief that the utilities and power companies have manufactured the power "crisis." I certainly don't put the NRC, NEI, and other cronyies (sp) above similar antics to increase their bottom line.
