News for STRM to explain the gapper, get ready to cash paycheck tomorrow AM.

StarMedia Network Inc. (STRM) is expected to receive a major investment from U.S. local telephone company BellSouth Corp. that will bolster the Latin American Internet media company as it moves toward profitability, sources familiar with the situation said on Wednesday.

StarMedia declined to comment on a potential deal with BellSouth. But a StarMedia spokeswoman said the company would likely make a strategic announcement Thursday morning. BellSouth (BLS) declined to comment.

Here I should have gone with you on canoe trip - at least I'd have had a paddle. Squirrel decided to end it all by jumping on power line transformer - BANG! My UPS allowed me to shut down alright, but I was out of trading for rest of morning; got back up just in time to see the close. Short still in NVLS going swell, they got a down check rating today and they provide mid-quarter guidance tomorrow after the close. Downside volume picking up, bounced on lower support line of 45.75, but if it takes that out it should be good for around another 5 points down to the 40.5 area, to cover if it takes out 46.75 (1:5 risk-reward). COSN is now looking poor, but given the market so do most longs? Looking for market reversal soon, even if only for a bounce.

Good pick on STRM - now let's see what can pop COSN.
