Michael, It would be very profitable if we could figure out when, if ever, to buy into the optical sector. There seems to be a great disconnect in that area. On the one hand there is the argument that the build-out of the worldwide optical network over the next 5 years will be a huge event, and many of these stocks like JDSU & GLW are great buys here. The other view is that we are in a long-lasting capacity glut, despite the obvious fact that the internet will continue to grow at an incredible pace. Maybe some of the folks on this thread will be able to help sort this out. Since prices are way down in this area, I am looking for opportunity, but I realize my ignorance of this area. It blows my mind that these were viewed by analysts as must-have stocks back in September at prices that were around 5 times higher.

Joe B. seems to be a perma-bull, but I like listening to him anyway. He seems like a nice guy. Just once, he ought to give a bearish view, but perhaps he has and I missed it.
