Scott, Re: Heck Andreas.. you work with Zdnet Germany.. why dont you interview the fellas at AMD and see what they think of your charges they've dropped the ball? I'd love to see the response ;)

I quit my job az ZDNet Germany recently. I had a very good interview with some AMD representatives (including the CEO of their German operations) at CeBIT and everything looked fine. But that's only one side of the story. Of course for AMD everything looks fine, the delays are only "strategic" etc. But that's always the story when talking with company representative. They never tell you "Sorry, we screwed up and will probably fall behind soon". I don't say that AMD will but I am very disappointed over both execution and shareholder communication in the last twelve months.

I don't want to sound overly pessimistic but I don't want to fall into cheerleeding either. It's very difficult to see all the opportunity AMD could have used. Now they are in a worse situation than twelve months ago IMO. The only thing that has changed is perception. That has greatly improved for AMD. But probably not enough to enable business wins.

Andreas
