The current volatility of the list and the number of T=5 entries is most likely directly related to the current doldrums of the market. Growth companies in particular have had their market prices slashed, and analysts are STILL making downward revisions to earnings estimates. When this activity ceases, i.e. earnings estimates stabilize and the market begins at least a slow, gentle rise, the earnings power of these 'delisted' stocks will once again be recognized and they will 'reappear' on the list.

I don't think that the current volatility and the number of T=5 stocks is unique. We should see similar activity in nearly every market decline of similar magnitude to what we have seen over the last year.
