Good comments, Chris. For the fun of it, I did a little reading on RCA last night, the Cisco of the 1920s. At its peak in 1929, it had a PE of "only" 72, well under Cisco's peak. It also never got back to its old high after the 1929-1932 bear, and was finally acquired by the company that had launched it, GE, in 1986. Unfortunately for RCA shareholders, GE sold it to Thomson Consumer Electronics a year later. Not saying anything of the sort will happen to Cisco, but it sure is interesting how projections of endless growth played out in RCA.
