Hi Shaw. I can't answer that question. I'll try to think about that when I'm reviewing charts in the evening, for the next few days. If I see anything that confirms that such a spread is sustainable, I'll post again.
Now, more ranting.
Notice on that SUF chart that volume spike.
I'd guess that almost every chart that comes up on my scans shows a volume spike, then tapering volume.
With the volume spike, the price often spikes, too. Seems to me that only those who know when the volume spikes are coming are able to play these effectively. Wouldn't it be nice to know ahead of time that some fund has decided to buy 500,000 shares of some stock that's trading about 25,000 shares a day?
I'm watching a pretty typical, recent day, here.
Several issues I'm watching (because I own them, or am thinking of owning them) are up marginally. Problem is they are only up if the offers to sell keep getting hit, because the offers to buy are below yesterday's close. So, it looks good, only if no one wants to sell.
