spark an economic turnaround and lift corporate profits. The Fed has cut interest rates by a total of 2-1/2 percentage points in 2001. The fed funds rate is now at 4 percent, the lowest level in seven years.

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Michael Moskow said on Wednesday the U.S. economy should improve later this year but ``significant risks'' threaten that upbeat outlook. Moskow said those risks included higher energy prices, weak economies abroad and soft consumer confidence. "

This means that now Feds are slowly admitting that they have done the economy great damage and they don't know what will come next! I wonder if we have to expect any new data this week!
