If you plant a garden and weeds and pests over come your crops or the garden becomes briney, wouldn't you do some major cleanup and try to restart from scratch. If you are organic you'd probably save some of the better seeds to start the new garden with. That would not equal you hating the fruits and vegetables of your garden
Not if the "garden" was my sons and daughters; no, I wouldn't pull them up and start from scratch. But then if I were God, I would know how to grow a decent garden...
Its almost like you don't like what we worship so you make something up and attribute it to us and then mock it.
The fact that your high priests (used in the universal sense) are selective in what they present about this God or That, such that people do not know whom it is they are worshipping--does not change the scriptures. I don't make scripture up. The fact that most people are unaware of what it is they are confirming in their faith, does not change the fact that they are indeed worshipping evil. If their solution (on finally becoming aware of scripture) is simply to dismiss the scriptures, and state that rape, incest, racism, muder, genocide, etc. are not evil when God commands it, but only when people do it without imagining a direct command, well this allows any serial killer to make the truth claim that they were moved to their behaviour by the word of God. The bible demonstrates after all, that it pleases God provided God has commanded it. So if I tell you that God has commanded me to blow up (say) a daycare center, well--you can always say: "CRAP. There is no God." That would get you out of it. OR, you could say..."as long as you save a couple of good seeds.
