Re: $1.176 in Q300, $0.528 in Q400, and $0.37 in Q101

AMD had a one-time gain from the sale of Legerity in Q3 of 2000 which nearly doubled their earnings. Until last quarter, their net earnings were sheltered from taxes from the carryover of prior years paper losses (and not all of those losses were just paper). Pre-tax earnings from operations have been rising in a period in which the industry, especially Intel, has seen earnings collapse.

From Q4 2000 to Q1 2001, while Intel revenues were dropping 25%, AMD's rose from $1,175 Million to $1,188 Million.

AMD's revenues from operations in Q3 of 2000 were $869 Million.
