Sorry Herb, you're right, I was looking at the wrong set of numbers. Here they are again, corrected, and put into industry perspective:

AMD Pre-tax Income (000's):

Q1 01    Q4 00      Q3 00    
164,197  200,543    190,318  

INTC Pre-tax Income (000's):
Q1 01    Q4 00      Q3 00      
906,000  3,375,000  3,823,000


It is worth noting that Intel went from having 20 times AMD's earnings, and 40 times the market cap, to having 5.5 times AMD's earnings and 20 times the market cap. What do you think the ratios will be for this quarter?
