Allen, the statement that all PentiumPro motherboards (by Intel) would
have I2O by the end of the year came from Ron Abelmann during the 3RD
quarter of last year. At the time he said that all PentiumPro server
motherboards would be I2O equiped by mid-year. Obviously, the
PentiumII was not announced at that time, but is a logical replacement
for the PentiumPro line. In my mind, it is multi-media/DTV that will
push I2O onto the desktop. I posted on a DV article this month that
estimated 20 million DTV-equiped PCs by the end of 1998, and Intel's
statement that all PCs will ship with DTV by the year 2000.

Have you made it back to the Eastern time zone yet?
