there are both really 'good' and really 'bad' schoolteachers. the real problem is in government schools and the bureaucracy behind them.

individual parents should pay for their own children; they shouldn't be able to foist that responsibility off on everyone else via public schools. the way it currently is set up is great for the bureaucrats but no one else.

i remember when i was a kid, the catholic (private school) and protestant (public school) parents never said much to each other. now i know why.

it took awhile, but at some point it became apparent to me that the catholics were bitter over the freeloading of the protestants with regard to schooling of their respective children.

really, parents should pay the way for their kids.

i know it will never (dismantling of 'free' public schools) happen.

i also know that - as is usually the case - i'm right about this.

actually, public schools -will- be dismantled, but only through earth changes or nuclear war or somefink.
