Amadeus

Honorable mentions....
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

American Beauty

Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Boiler Room
Pulp Fiction
Cider House Rules
The Usual Suspects
and I hate to admit it but "Dusk to Dawn"

Favorite Videos to play grouped together is Breakfast Club, then St. Elmo's Fire then Big Chill. It is like watching the people grow up sneaking a peak at different stages of life.

Need to see again to make sure but "Shrek" was pretty funny and may slip in here somewhere as a cartoon comedy nominee.

On talk earlier of actors playing weird parts or always finding strange flicks to star in and I will add under rated, my nomination is Robin Williams.
Most of his movies are excellent and they are always a bit off beat though generally good or at least make you think a bit. World according to Garp, Fischer King, Awakenings, Jumangi, What Dreams may come, Bicentennial Man, Jacob the Liar, Mrs Doubtfire etc. Only bad movie I saw of his and even it had it's moments was "Being Human". Most hated Moscow on the Hudson but I loved it, especially the ending despite it being a bit slow. <ggg>

Recent stuff worth a rent.....
Space Cowboys
Mission to Mars
Forgot the name of it already but the old farts movie about the retired thugs starring Richard Dreyfus, Burt Reynolds etc.
