Intercell seeks partners for Particle unit
DENVER, June 13 (Reuter) -Intercell Corp (INCE.OB) said
Friday that it is discussing ``strategic relationships with
major corporations'' in the U.S. and abroad for its Particle
Interconnect subsidiary.
Intercell named companies in Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore,
Taiwan, Thailand and the U.S. as discussion partners for a
possible alliance with Particle.
"The alliance is to get help to sell (Particle's) technology
to larger companies,'' said a spokeswoman. She added Intercell's
chief executive expected to reach an agreement before the end
of this year.
Intercell's chief executive Paul Metzinger declined to comment
on the specifics of a possible deal.
The company is trying to hire a replacement for Steven Clark, who
resigned as president of the Particle subsidiary on May 13, the
spokeswoman added. Intercell's chief operating oficer, Charles
Bauer, is the acting chief executive of the subsidiary.
Intercell said Monday it named Paul Metzinger as chief executive
to replace Gordon Sales, who resigned.
