yeah, french clowns are certainly scary

For example, in Ottawa Canada when they open the canal for ice skating every winter - french people dress up as this hideous 'bonomme'. The Bonomme is a tall puffy white clown, kind of like a psycho snowman...but stripped of expression and logic...very french indeed.

...sent chills down my spine as a child...this coupled with the fathers of the girls from St. Joseph's high school helped send me packing for higher learnin' in the good old USA.
