OT: American Wind Energy Association Website Thread, Here's a website that might be worth a bookmark. This site is associated with Lester Brown, President of the Earth Policy Institute and former head of Worldwatch Institute. awea.org Last Thursday, Lester Brown made the point that there is the potetial wind powered electrical generating capacity in 3 of the Great Plains states (one of which is Texas) to satisfy the entire nation's demand for electricity. Brown questions why our national leaders are pursuing Caspian oil and pipelkines across politically unstable regions and coal plants, with their huge CO2 issues, as the most viable means of satisfying future needs.
