Well, JDN, I've never fancied myself an advocate of a flat tax, but I'm sure in favor of simplifying the tax code. The whole system that includes high rates which are qualified and eroded by exemptions, deductions, special interest junk and other loopholes that by themselves probably are the source of millions in lobbying funds and campaign bribes--oops, I mean contributions--sure needs an overhaul.
