During my "tour of duty"<g> on W.S., as a broker

one of the things that became an important part of my understanding of bull and bear market cycles is that leadership changes occur during bear markets.

Sectors the led during the preceeding bull undergo a gradual process of declining relative strength during the bear market which follows. And the sectors which will eventually assume leadership roles in the next bull market exhibit steadily increasing relative strength.

So I think, though each of us has to do our own DD and make our own decisions, it's important to look beyond the technology sector when planning where you want to postion yourself for the next bull market.
