Mohammad was persecuted for teaching Islam in many ways. At one point there was a bounty put on his head. He recieved information on this and escaped by the night. He hid in a small hole in the rocks. The possie came to where he was the next morning and would have easily seen him if not for the fact that a spider had woven an elaborate web that kept him hidden from their view.

I would squash a spider on my patio unless I knew a lot about spiders and the particular was a beneficial one.
