Hi Eichler,

Thanks for the good post. Yes, I was half-joking. I say "half-joking" because I've been playing this game long enough to know that anything, and I mean ANYTHING, is certainly plausible and possible. If the NASDAQ went to 4000 or 400 next week, I assure you I would not be surprised by either occurrence. NOTHING can shock me anymore. I'm way beyond that. I have seen just about everything.

I am a firm believer that what ever harms the greatest number of people the most will occur. To illustrate this, imagine the scenario I posted before, where a number of "super gap-ups" occur in a short period of time. Then imagine the greedy masses hastily chasing the train and jumping onboard. Now, imagine the "powers that be" derailing that train immediately and crashing the entire market down to virtual worthlessness causing another massive worldwide depression. I can see anything happening, my friend. Your scenario, my scenario, any scenario. We live this game one day at time. Observe how fast we now transit from a "gloom and doom" to an "up, up, and away" mentality. The rate of change from high euphoria to low depression appears to be accelerating in the market psychology as we go forward through time. JMHO. :-)

Good luck.

Best Regards,
John
